When I look at politicians, affected politicians,

the two arguably most affected politicians

in Britain last 50 years, arguably, were Thatcher and Blair. And both of them were incredibly

unhistorical. I mean, in terms of their knowledge and also in terms of their approach.

That was quasi-quarting on whether politicians pay enough attention to history.

You see the failures, those who are unable to negotiate the political system, whose heads end up on the block, because they don't have that malability.

And for me looking back in the Tudor period, where you potentially have the birth of modern bureaucracy, those individuals who are able to guide themselves

through it have my utmost respect.
