actually writing what's up everybody it's the last friday of july of july 2018 dog days of summer, and I'm glad that you're here cooling off with us at the podcast.

Thanks to everyone who came out to my shows in the Southeast this month. I had a great time seeing you guys in Carolina, in Virginia, in Georgia.

I got to see Dave and Suez from David Wax

Museum and hang with their kids. I got to meet BJ Barham's new daughter in Wendell, North

Carolina, much different from touring in my 20s. Touring in my 20s was basically just driving

across the expanse of America in like a poorly

maintained passenger van with various bottles of like open bottles of rider whiskey clinking around in the

storage bay. Toying in my 30s so far seems to be more characterized by like eating cauliflower rice and meeting babies.

So it's not exactly the vibe I signed up for when I got into this line of work many years ago, but that's fine.

No point in fighting it. I'm going to ride with it, man.

Here's where I'm going to be coming up in the next few months,

August 23rd in the Bay Area, Nevada, California, playing a concert for Casey Turner. September 5th at

the Tractor Tavern in Seattle, the 6th in Portland, and then I'll be at the Sisters Folk Festival

that weekend, and then September 23rd.
