From September 15th, October 15th, we are honoring Hispanic Heritage Month.

Each week, members of our church family will be sharing stories that acknowledge and celebrate

Latino and Latina history from their lived experiences to the world at large.

Hello Bridgetown, thank you for listening to the Bridgetown Church podcast.

For the past few years, Bridgetown has been on a journey of racial reconciliation and justice

within our church family.

In the book of Revelation, John describes heaven as a vast crowd, too great to count, from

every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before

the Lamb.

Meaning, this is no homogenous group, but the unification of one new multi-ethnic humanity.

This division of the future provides insight into the kind of church we should strive to

become here and now, defined by our unity with indiversity.

To that end, we have been celebrating the stories of people of color within our church family.

My name is Tyler Hans, one of the leaders here at Bridgetown and member of the Racial

Justice Committee.

This month we are honoring Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15th to October

15th.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time for us to celebrate the accomplishments of Latino people in

the U.S. as well as to celebrate their influence on our culture and society.
