Welcome to the Crazy Love Podcast. When you read through scripture, it's clear to see that the people of God are called to live differently than the rest of the world.

But sometimes that's easier said and done.

In this week's teaching, Francis Chan shares openly about how the Lord has been dealing with him regarding the Sabbath

and helps us understand this wonderful gift of both rest and worship.

I shared earlier how God called the Levites to minister to him.

And we shared a few weeks ago how the role of the Levite

or the priest was in Ezekiel 44, 23, it says, they shall teach my people the difference between

the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

God says one of the things we want to do, he tells the Levites what the things I want you to do is to teach the people

what is holy and what is common.

Because everything can get mixed together

and we're not very good with like reserving words for the Lord and so words like awesome mean very

little because your dinner last night was awesome, right?

Maybe.

But we use it in that sense and then we use the same word for God.

And you see in the Old Testament times how there were vessels that were for the Lord,

like a cup or a bowl and you wouldn't dare just use that for something else that is sacred.

And we've really lost the sense of sacred and common in our day,

and everything blends together.

And so this can become another thing you do during your week rather than this.

What an amazing honor. Okay, this is what I look forward to. This is sacred. This is
