Hi there, everyone. It's Four Park in the East, a special show today, a special focus on

0:09.1

our part on one aspect of the Trump coup plot. They came together rather quietly and under

0:15.3

the radar at the time. Through dry legal memos and endless emails, it's changed between

0:19.9

lawyers, closed door meetings involving dozens of lawyers, activists, and campaign officials.

0:26.6

Which right now, at this hour, just might be the single biggest front of legal exposure

0:32.9

for the disgraced ex-president and members of his intermo circle. We are talking about

0:37.8

those slates of fake electors set up in battleground states. They served as the spark for the

1:25.9

helped organize the pro-Trump electors in Arizona. He wrote that on December 8, 2020 in an email

1:32.7

to Boris Epstein, an advisor for the Trump campaign. In a follow-up email, the same guy, Mr. Willenchick,

1:39.6

wrote that alternative votes is probably a better term, a better word than fake votes. He added a

1:46.5

smiley face emoji as one does. The plan quickly gathered steam, though, as the Trump campaign

1:52.9

lost case after case after case, although it up to 16 defeats in court, and as efforts by Rudy

1:59.5

Giuliani to get state legislatures to intervene in the election fell flat. failed. Why does

a Cassidy Hutchinson told the January 6th Select Committee that the fake electors came up in
