as we hear tonight's sleep story good evening I'm Melissa Disney story. Good evening.

I'm Melissa Disney.

Tonight, we journey in to the life of David and the book of Psalms.

In Psalm 11, David appears to have been fleeing from an enemy when he wrote the Psalm.

He often sought refuge in the Lord.

Maybe that's you tonight, needing a safe and secure place to rest in the comfort of your creator.

But first, take a few moments to get settled into bed.

Make yourself comfortable and rest in the stillness of the room.

Clear your thoughts from all distractions.

Stop the cycle of worried thoughts that are churning in your mind.

Open your heart to receive the words of the Lord words of calmness and serenity take a deep

breath in and release it feel the tension leave your body.

From head to toe, feel every muscle relax.

Invite the Holy Spirit to be with you tonight.

Though he lives within you, he also surrounds you. Invite him to be near and to

surround you with his peace. Be still in the presence of God as you inhale and exhale.
