Hello and welcome to this week's Nerder She Wrote on the Back to Back

Podcast, a part of the Athletic Podcast Network. I am your host, Dave, before, joined as I am every week by Mo DeKeele. What's up, Mo? Not a whole lot, Dave. I'm ready to go, man. I'm fired up. I got a nice slap in the face before this all started. Yeah, you know, I was looking at photos from your jog the other day, and I got to say, man, L.A.'s looking pretty nice right now. It is, it is pretty nice. And that's kind of a problem right now. We should. Right. Everybody stay home. Stay home. It's hard with how nice it is. And like, I only go for these runs if I get up early enough where I'm like nobody's out yet.

I can go.

But yeah, LA's looking pretty good right now. And we've also got Seth part now as always. Seth, do you do any jogging in Milwaukee? It's still cold, right? Chili? Well, today's actually warmed up a little bit. I've gone a couple of times, but it's basically, for whatever reason, it seems like it's been consistently about 20 degrees colder here than in Chicago. So today, it's actually in the high 50s, but it's been in the 30s and 40s for most of the last two or three weeks, which sucks. Yeah. If anyone listening is a meteorologist, please let us know why. I mean, it's not that far, right? Like,

what is it? No. Chicago to Milwaukee, an hour and a half? Yeah. Well, no, it's it is an hour

in 10 minutes to the outskirts of Chicago and then an hour and 10 minutes from the outskirts

of Chicago into Chicago because of Chicago traffic. Yeah, that's why you took the train to All-Star, right? Yeah.

The one thing that's funny about it is the 50 degrees is warming up to you, Seth, whereas like 50 degrees here in L.A.

would be an apocalypse. When was the last time it got that cold in L.A.? It gets pretty cold in the

wintertime. it gets to like

around that but like we obviously like for him it's warming up for us it's it's it's freaking freezing

and like we're pulling out winter coats and everything like that so yeah it's been in the 90s uh to

upper 90s like low 90s to upper 90s here. I don't know, for about a month.

It's hot in Texas.

Speaking of hot, coaching searches are hot right now, it seems.

We're at the point where teams that are looking to fill vacant positions, which I think,
