you know what's really funny in dance, at least for me, this probably doesn't happen to you

0:03.0

anymore because you're an amazing dancer, but I'll feel in my body what I, what you think you look

0:08.4

like, trust me. It happens to me all the time. You know what's happening? I'll be like,

0:12.0

damn, I'm crushing this move. And then I'll look in the mirror. And it's not good. So explain

0:19.0

that to me. Let's begin. A year and a half ago, I felt like my heart was really

0:36.7

heavy. And I was struggling with anxiety

0:39.7

and depression, creative burnout. And I just felt lost. To be honest with you, I just felt really

0:46.6

1:14.0

to be honest with you. And I was doing many different types of therapy. And I'm such a huge

1:19.2

fan of any and all types of therapy. But I felt like I needed something somatic. I felt like I needed

1:25.7

something to shake me up. And little did I know that

1:29.5

twerking my ass to Lil John would be the medicine that I needed. Who knew that shaking my booty

1:39.3

cheeks to the yin-yang twins would be more profound for my healing than Tony Robbins.

1:47.3

But I'm being so serious right now, and you know that play is my favorite medicine.

1:52.5

But I lost that for a bit. And so finding that again was so healing, finding my child like joy,

1:58.5

finding my courage, my creativity. I honestly felt like I found myself again.

2:04.6

And by the grace of God, serendipity, I find Melody's class. And I am like, oh my God, what just

2:13.5

happened? It's hard to put it into words because it's not just a typical fitness, cardio,
