dialogue is here. First time in three weeks,

I've been back in studio. Dr. Arn and I taped a couple before I went off on the Hillsdale

cruise with Dr. Arn. But I'm back now. And so Dean Matt Spalding, it was Dean of the Graduate School

of Statesmanship that Hillsdale hosts in Washington, D.C. at the Kirby Center.

Dean Spalding, I missed you afloat. I hope you had to get a chance in the future or in the past to do the Hillsdale cruise.

That was a lot of fun.

Yeah, no, it sounds like it. I'm glad you went.

I doubt I've ever heard people like Christopher Caldwell and John O'Sullivan and former Czech

President Klaus and, of course, Dr. Arn, I just enjoyed, it was immensely fun.

I had a very, very interesting group of alums and friends of the college with us.

One of the things we talked about, though, was the military parade,

because some were coming back from the crews to be able to see it in time. I, of course,

was not there. You were there. What did you see? Well, I thought the whole thing was quite

amazing. Part of it was the reporting going into it, and thought the whole thing was quite amazing.

Part of it was the reporting going into it and then the thing itself and then the reaction to it.

What I found most striking was if you've never been to a July 4th celebration in Washington, D.C., it is quite fabulous.

I mean, the monuments, the place is just a powerful location for such a thing.

So it really had a feel of a Fourth of July event.
