The second part of Hillsborough survivors Damian Kavanagh, Richie Greaves and Peter Carney talking after the collapse of the final trial. For too many years too many people impacted by Hillsborough have had to be silent to allow the legal proceedings to run their course. Damian, Richie and Peter, like many others, were there on the day of April 15, 1989, and they reflect on that day and the 32 years since. We start with Ritchie's recollections of the 15th of April 1989.

Yeah, so we left the ground that day.

I'd been at, I'd been a high school four years earlier,

so I, my father had had like a triple heart bypass and I knew I was aware of what I put my family through being there

So I was keen, once we carried someone who was like, looked critically injured or whatever down the pitch, I was keen to get to a phone and let's reassure me family that I was alright and we made an escape probably about 4 o'clock through the south stand and I remember walking out of there with me mason.

There was a lot of the forest fans arguing with the police saying when's the game going to kick off and all that and

I remember shouting up one of them.

There's fucking people dead there, you're soft shite, or what it like.

And then we carried on and we come out by the peniston Road then at the cop end.

And I remember seeing ambulances stacked up the road and that was always something that hit me

like for years later they're not that all the lights and the noises are the sirens and everything because there must have

been like between 25 and 40 ambulances up the road and the reason they were all stacked up was the first ones

that got there I think the ambulance fellas were running into the ground and

leaving the keys and not leaving the keys in the van and just that and the other

so ambulances were coming and they couldn't get it,

getting an entrance to the ground and the police were still telling them that we were fighting in the ground.
