It's not unusual to hear a story in which a loved one pays a visit to his or her family

members after their passing. Sometimes though that spirit is trying to inform their family

that maybe there was some foul play involved with their death. There have been a few high-profile

cases showcasing this. The most famous of which would be the Green Brieher Ghost and Green

Brieher West Virginia. In that instance, Zona Hester Schoo died at the hands of her husband

in 1897, but it was made to look like an accident. There was no proper examination of the

body and Zona was buried. Eventually she came to her mother in a series of dreams explaining

how she was killed. Her body was eventually exhumed and her husband ultimately arrested

for the crime. This was the first case of a Ghost's confession being used in a conviction

in the courtroom. In this episode, you will learn of a similar situation just 10 years

later after the death of Marine Lieutenant James Sutton Jr.

One of the most well-known hauntings in Annapolis, Maryland is that of a young Marine by the

name of James Sutton Jr. He died at the Naval Academy in 1907 under mysterious circumstances.

His parents who lived across the country in Portland, Oregon looked forward to his letters

each week. There was something strange about the letter that his mother Rosa opened on

October 11th. It was written with the same jovial style as his other letters, but his

mother had a sense of dread while reading it. This was not an unusual occurrence for Rosa.

She had been able to sense things starting in her early teens. As she read the letter,

her hand started to tremble. The next evening, she had a sharp pain and a feeling of deep

despair. She decided to read the letter again to see if there was something that she was

missing. She had a vision that her son would be coming home unexpectedly. She even prepared

a bed for him. Unfortunately, this would not be the case.
