There are legends all over the world about being able to summon a particular

entity. Sometimes you look into a mirror, sometimes you light a candle, sometimes

you just say their names several times in a row. We are all familiar with the

legend of Candyman or perhaps Bloody Mary. There is one such legend in Tennessee

and children from all over the state have scared themselves silly trying to

contact it. Today you will learn about the legend of Bandyaz.

In today's episode we're going to discuss the story of Bandyaz and a Lucis spirit

that some say can be conjured from any mirror. One young lady however told the

following tale of how she was chillingly successful and summoning up all Bandyaz.

I was about ten years old when all this took place. Our home was in the country

about ten miles from the nearest town of any size. I lived there with my mother

and my father, two sisters and three brothers. As the youngest girl in the family I was of

course the apple of my daddy's eye. This caused some bad feelings with the rest of my siblings

and they were always trying to put something over on me. I'll have to admit I was

extremely gullible especially when it came to ghost stories. My brother Adam he was

about twelve at the time was especially astute at scaring the devil out of me with wild

tails. My father was always on his case about that but he continued anyway. Adam was the one

who told me about O Bandyaz. Adam said that O Bandyaz was an evil spirit that lived in the mirrors.

Somewhere between the glass and the silver backing Bandyaz was a shape shifter. When a person

looked into the mirror Bandyaz could assume the likeness of that person. Most people thought

it was their own reflection in the mirror. It wasn't. It was actually Bandyaz looking back.
