Summary

The videos of Bill and Hillary Clinton testifying before the House committee investigating Jeffery Epstein were released late yesterday.  Most media outlets are playing the moment Hillary Clinton loses her cool, pounds the table and leaves her seat after finding out Congresswoman Lauren Boebert secretly took her picture and posted it online.  But the remainder of the depositions show the Clinton’s answering repeated questions ranging from relevant to absurd and to insulting at times.  We learn how Bill Clinton met Epstein , how Clinton explains the hot tub photo released in the files, and whether he thinks Donald Trump should testify.  His answer may surprise you.

Welcome to this episode of Amy and T.J. where we are all waking up talking about the Clinton tapes. Yes, those nine hours of testimony by Bill and Hillary Clinton in front of that House committee talking about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Those videos have been released.

And the big headline everyone is focused on

0:42.4

because the video is probably the most exciting

0:44.9

out of all the nine hours that journalists have been pouring over

0:48.5

is Hillary Clinton losing her cool.

0:51.7

I wouldn't call it unhinged, as we heard it described, but she did get

visibly frustrated multiple times answering the same questions over and over.

1:01.6

Do you call it visibly? I call it justifiably. Absolutely. She's in this and all this set up.

1:07.0

Look, she had every right to do more than she did. She should have stormed out of that.

1:10.1

She'd have flipped the table over, and I would have said, okay, I know. A lot of people on the other side. This is Hillary Clinton. This is typical. She's up there, line. This is doing. That's the line. But folks, this was supposed to be something fair that it was negotiated. We heard about this moment. We're seeing it on video. And quite frankly, it's not a whole lot that came out of this. So I think a lot of people are focusing on that thing.

1:32.4

Exactly. And the point being, this is supposed to be information gathering. This is supposed to shed light on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. And truly it was what the Clintons thought it was going to be.

1:45.4

And I think what most people will acknowledge it was when they see these videos.

1:50.1

This was about political theater.

1:51.8

And nothing else.

1:52.9

This wasn't about getting to the bottom of it.

1:55.5

I did think it was interesting, though, that Bill Clinton, when he got up there and testified,

2:00.3

yes, he reiterated that Hillary

2:01.7

should not have been subpoenaed, period. But he said that he understood why he was called to testify.
