Today we're going to tackle a ticklish subject.

We're going to deal with one of what I would consider to be one of the great modern cliches,

now one of the great modern Christian cliches, and that is the notion of social justice.

Social justice is a bit like poverty.

It's a word that's banded around as if the meaning is self-evident.

And yet when you sit back and reflect upon exactly what it means, it is not entirely clear.

And indeed, the history of the term itself is somewhat involved and convoluted.

So we want to talk about social justice today.

What is it?

Is it possible to define it?

Is it any business of the church?

Many of the readers of our blog will know that Todd Pruitt is a man of great sensitivity

and nuance on this issue.

And so I'm going to throw it straight over to Todd at this point.
