What if it happened to paying your own way?

What if it happened to that?

Okay, now I got to tell you, I never borrowed a nickel from anybody.

I paid my college as I went, okay?

I painted houses and it was hard work.

And I made a lot of money painting houses because I worked like an animal.

I didn't borrow any money.

I never had student debt.

I worked and I worked and I worked and I worked and I worked.

The amount of jobs I drove a cab, I was a water safety instructor, I worked at Carvel.

I mean, from 10 years old on, I was working.

And my father drummed it into my head, save as much money as you can, which I did.

Okay?

So I was able to get through.

But the only person in my entire life, whoever gave me any money was my elderly grandmother.

And I didn't even want it.

But she gave it to me and she wasn't going to spend it.

So I said, okay, you know, I took a few bucks from my grandma.

That was it.

And I am proud of myself because I made it on my own.

No help.

So now I see these people walking around, not all of them, some people need help.
