Summary

There are two different experiences within humanity: those who are ‘highborn’ and those who are ‘service class.’ One is born into privilege and one is not. The Scripture makes it clear that all of us have an inheritance that has been passed onto us. But most of us aren’t living as if we have received this legacy. This legacy invites everyone into promises that may only seem accessible to the ‘highborn.’

In Galatians 4:1-5 Paul address the reality that we can be the recipients of all the generosity God has given us. He tells us we’re all heirs. And as we mature we begin to step into our inheritance. We’re not all highborn, but when we enter a relationship with Jesus we’ve been invited into a full inheritance.

We must move toward maturity so we can handle the full inheritance God promises us. A relationship with God will transform us and that is an undeniable promise. But, we must step into this relationship ourselves. We are heirs, but we can choose to live like slaves; the choice is ours. We must allow God to give us full freedom so that we are able to receive our full inheritance.

0:14.1	touched by Julian Fellows were there, whether it's Downey or Dr. Thorne. And one of the things
0:20.5	that it always strikes us is that there are two different experiences in humanity,

0:33.4	downstairs creates a very very different experience and as you listen to the
0:37.8	conversations and the way they understood themselves not just their times it
0:42.3	really begins to strike you how they have this concept of being highborn,
0:47.0	that you're a Duke or a Duchess, a Lord, or a lady,
0:49.8	that you're royalty.
0:52.1	And because of the coincidence of your birth you
0:57.0	inherit so much wealth and power title position opportunity. And I've wondered how many times people who
1:07.6	watched the upstairs wondered why was I born in my particular condition? Why was I born in my particular condition?
1:13.4	Why was I born in my state rather than in theirs?
1:17.4	And it would be great, wouldn't it?
1:19.9	To have a legacy, to be of the right bloodline, to be high-born, to have a legacy
1:26.7	and inheritance passed on to you simply because you're the son or the daughter of
1:31.0	the right person because you carry the right name.
1:35.0	And yet the reality is that that's exactly the imagery that scriptures give us,
1:39.0	that we are in relationship to God through Jesus now sons and daughters that we have this
