episode, we're delving into the weeds with a true friend of the podcast and a true friend of

mine as well, cannabis cultivation expert Danny Danko. I first met Dan way back in 2002 when I started my

first ever legal weed job at High Times Magazine. Yes, you could say it with me back when it was

cool. Dan and I have shared a lot of incredible adventures together over the

ensuing decades from judging the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam to touring Northern California

during harvest season to sashing with the steady stream of growers, dealers, breeders, smugglers,

rogues, outlaws, musicians, celebrities, and

activists who all stopped by the High Times offices in New York City back during our

illustrious tenure at the magazine. And guess what? News just broke this morning that after sliding into bankruptcy, you know, after a bunch of hedge fund D-bags took over,

High Times has just been purchased by a new ownership team.

Perhaps I'll have more to say about that on a future episode of this podcast.

But for now, if you're one of the many people who got ripped off by the previous administration's shady deals, shadier investment opportunities,

or if, you know, you just paid for a subscription to the magazine and got literally nothing in return, well,

sorry to say, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for somebody to make it all right.
