story, guys. Welcome to the Ghost Story, guys. I'm Brennan Store. I'm Paul Bestol, and this is the

0:34.4

show where we talk about spooks, spectres, and all the other things watching us from the shadows

0:38.9

beyond the campfire. Some conversations only make sense after the sun has set, and this is most

0:45.2

definitely one. Thanks for tuning in. This is episode number 147, and as always, we're coming

0:50.1

from that tiny mountain cabin you dream about, but can never quite reach. Paul, my friend, how are

0:55.9

you? I'm very well. I have survived watching 12 minutes of killer piƱata, and I am here to tell

1:03.1

you not to do the same. Yes, because I don't know how much of you survived, but you are physically

1:08.5

here, if not spiritually. Yes, a little bit of me died during those 12 minutes, but thankfully,

1:14.4

I pulled it back from the brink, and I will be marching onwards, discovering even more worse

1:19.5

films out there now, down to over the course of the next few weeks. Well, it is the season.

1:24.2

It is the season. This is actually a really bad transition, but I want to get it out

1:30.2

out of the way now. It seems really tasteless, but I don't intend it to be. You're going to

1:34.5

tell us vitamins. Yeah, yeah, I've got some, oh, you wouldn't believe some of the crap

1:40.5

that, anyways, yeah, we were approached recently by someone. I won't say who, but the answer was no.

1:46.9

Did that end begin with A?

1:50.7

The end with F is what it begins with. It is briefly just again, get it out of the way now.

1:56.3

It's a sad day in Canadian film, Paul, because it was just reported before coming on air that

2:01.5

Mick Moff filmmaker Jeff Barnaby, who made the brilliant zombie film Blood Quantum. He just died

2:07.4

after a year-long battle with cancer. Yeah, he was based out of here at Montreal, and folks,

2:13.0

if you haven't seen Blood Quantum, I haven't seen his first film. I want to say it was Rhymes

2:17.4

for young ghouls. I have not seen that, but Blood Quantum was very, very good and very promising
