Summary

The Supreme Court has approximately eighteen more opinions to announce before the current term ends. The rulings could impact student loan payments, redistricting, and change whether or not businesses are allowed to refuse service based on religious beliefs. Law Professor at the University of California at Berkeley and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General, John Yoo, joins the Rundown to explain how the high court's rulings are already impacting the 2024 election, the legal reasoning for why schools shouldn't base their admissions decisions on race, and later touches upon why he suspects the recent ethical scandals plaguing the Supreme Court justices stem from political bias. Artificial Intelligence can greatly improve our world, but what happens if it gets into the wrong hands? Scam calls have always been an issue; however, now with A.I., scammers can impersonate victims' close family and friends. One victim, Arizona mother Jennifer Destefano, received a call and heard her daughter sobbing on the other end of the line. She was told her daughter had been kidnapped and would be harmed if a hefty ransom wasn't paid. Later, she would learn her daughter was never truly in danger. Destefano joins the podcast to share her story and explain how the traumatic experience has motivated her to advocate for A.I. regulation on Capitol Hill. Later, Heritage Foundation tech policy research associate Jake Denton joins to discuss what guardrails he believes should be placed on A.I. and how the technology will likely shape the future—for better or for worse. Plus, commentary by FOX News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
