Today we have the moment that a police officer visited the family home of the boy on trial a few months before the attack to warn him about the dangers of carrying weapons.

We also hear about his family background, including that he had a history of assaulting other pupils in school, but how he had also been violently attacked himself.

And we hear for the first time what he told police about the moment that he stabbed Harvey Wilgeus.

He said he thought he was going to be attacked, and he's now horrified at the outcome.

It is with great sadness that I share with you today. A teenager has died following a stabbing at a Sheffield school earlier today.

A young boy has gone to school and has returned home.

Fifteen-year-old Harvey Wilgoose.

He was attacked at school in Sheffield at lunchtime and he died a short time later.

The death of Harvey Wilgoose in a school in Sheffield earlier this year shocked the nation.

Harvey was 15 when he was stabbed at All Saints Catholic High School on February the 3rd.

A 15-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Hundreds of mourners attended his funeral at Sheffield Cathedral,

and the service was also broadcast on a big screen outside the building.

Some mourners wore t-shirts with pictures of Harvey and anti-knife crime slogans,

and since his death, his parents, Caroline and Mark, have campaigned against knife crime.

I think we don't even really realise how serious it is with how many kids are carrying weapons into school.

Harvey was a huge football fan and Sheffield United were described as the great love of his life.

Another 15-year-old boy who can't be named has admitted manslaughter, but is now on trial for murder and the trial podcast will be covering the case.
