Welcome back to Curse of Strard, our party, having rested at the Wizard of Wines under the

protection of the Weirravens, faces the decision.

Do they seek out Barbala Saga and try to recover the next relic that has been prophesized

to help them, or do they travel to Cresic to gain the aid of others?

Initially, fearing Barbala Saga's powers, they decide to head to Cresic, but ridden with

guilt abandoning the Weirravens captured children, they decide to seek out the witch herself

instead, and at least free her captives first.

Exploring the ruined village of Barrez, the party find it a fettied swamp with only

ramshackle buildings and waterlogged farms.

They encounter the spirit of the Bergamaster of Barrez, but Tatiana uses her magic to help

put to his spirit to ease.

Avoiding Barbala Saga's attention so far, the party find the Weirraven children trapped

within a fenced pen topped with human skulls.

It seems to be warded against shape changes.

The Maya shifts into a spider form and flies over the fence with the aid of an insects

wand.

As Jesper cuts into the fence with the sunsword to free the children, the skulls

atop it emit a horrendous screech that echoes across the ruined village, and many shapes

begin to stir in the fog and mist.
