Don't you just love mothers?

I mean, mothers have this heart and this zeal for the kids that just doesn't stop.

Today, as we seek to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word, we're going to be looking at Matthew chapter 20.

We're going to be seeing the story of a mother of some adult sons who has that same kind of zeal.

And what she requests of Jesus as a result. Welcome to the morning mindset. We're looking at the kingdom of God.

That's the series we're in right now is the kingdom. And we're in chapter 34 as we're looking

at Matthew chapter 20 versus 20 and 23. So get out your Bibles. And I wonder, when's the last time

you told someone about the morning mindset? You see, if you're benefiting, chances are there's someone

in your life, someone you know, maybe someone you're burdened for, who could use the

kind of instruction that you are receiving here in the morning mindset. Would you pause this

Okay, it says, then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came up to him with her sons,

and kneeling before him, she asked him for something.

Okay, friends, now let's pause for a moment. Who is this mother of the sons of Zebedee?

Well, these sons of Zebedee are two of Jesus disciples, James and John. And this is their mom

coming along. So these are grown men who are there with their mother, and she's asking Jesus for

something. He said to her, what do you want? She said to him, say that these two sons of mine are to sit,

one at your right hand and one at your left in your kingdom. So you understand what she's saying.
