The history of Anne Frank and her family is perhaps one of the most well-known

important and heartbreaking histories from the Second World War.

Yet while we may know a lot about Anne, her father Otto and their family, we know so little

about the people who risked their lives to try and hide them.

I'm your host James Patton Rogers, and on today's warfare podcast, we're following the story of Meep Gies, a young secretary who hid Otto Frank and his family from the Nazis.

For nearly two years Meep and her husband Jan protected the Franks while trying to avoid arrest.
