Greetings and welcome to a Monday edition of the shotgun start. It is April 12th. Andy, how are we doing?

Brendan, I'm doing wonderful. What a win. What a win for Japan. Hadecki Masayama. That was great masters.

Yeah, it was a fantastic masters all around. I think Sunday was sort of stalled at moments. Never felt boring to me. I was always engaged. I'd just, you know, in the relative universe of masters. Sunday was a little slow, but I think it was made by the weekend.

I, you know, we don't need to like kind of always the major extrapolation of a major doesn't need to be the last hour and a half, right? For me, like I will never forget Hadecki from basically the rain delay resumption that shot out of 11 through the end.

Like that was, that was as good of golf as you're going to see at Augusta National. I think what do you join famous 30s on the back 9s like Jack obviously 86 Tiger when you went out in 40 came home in 30 if that's as if it was a 40 something like that as first.

Master's round as a pro like I will always remember that and that's part of this entire like experience to me and he held on. I mean, you know, with when speed one in 15.

So I made a shitty joke today about like five shots. Five shots clear with nine to play. It wasn't like I was hoping Hadecki was going to repeat that at all. I was just saying, you know, it's not over. Yeah.

Well, this was actually kind of close to 2015 when speed did so much of his work prior to Sunday. It got a little nip and talk at times like it did today with rose.

But he remember he had that ship shot on 18 on Saturday night with a speed when it was like he was short-sighted on the right had to I think he was just over the bunker and got up and down for a miraculous save.

And Hadecki had that kind of similar thing Saturday night and so much of the work was done before Sunday and of course he held on and steered it in with the 73 so fantastic weekend.

Yeah, I mean, I like it to a great great golf courses or great songs like there are different moments that really hit home at golf courses.

There are great golf courses where the best stretch of holes are, you know, four through eight. There are great songs where the best part of the song is two minutes before the end of the song.

Not every, you know, every great event ends right at the end. Hadecki, I'm an in total that that back nine on Saturday. I mean, it happened out of weekend was absolutely exemplary.

And then today, the way he navigated the golf course, I thought, especially the meat of the golf course where the problems could come for through really for through up till 15.

He played pretty much flawless golf in terms of the way he positioned his golf ball. And you know, it started obviously obviously five. He made a great par save there.

But you know, starting at six, he got that iron shot up to the top shelf. Seventh, he hit it right in the perfect spot right into that bull pin.

Eight, you know, he's right in the back spot, easy up and down. Nine, the spin control on the approach shot on nine was just fantastic.
