All right. Well, welcome to Part 1 of Through the Eyes of a Lion. We are so

excited to have you here. No matter where you are or who you are or what is going on in your life right now.

The Bible says that the righteous are as bold as a lion and we're believing that God is going to do incredible things in your life through this study together.

Amen.

Amen.

And I emphasize no matter what you're going through because this that we're going to talk about that we're going to study was born of difficulty in our lives, in our family.

In 2012, our second born daughter,

Lina Avery Lusko, Lina Lyon, whose eyes are on the bottom of the book cover.

This is the full picture, she had an asthma attack and it was just a normal

night until all of a sudden we ended up in a tragedy in Linnia after a painful time not being able to breathe, eventually stopped breathing and then her heart stopped beating.

And on that cold Thursday night in December, she went from our lives to the arms of her

Heavenly Father.

We're so thankful for the peace and we're so thankful for the hope that we have in the midst

of those dark days.

And yet I won't hesitate to tell you.

The experience was and remains the most difficult, painful

thing that we've ever gone through in our lives. It hurt like hell. It was scary. It was

it was it was sad. It was dark. We were afraid but we weren't alone. And in the midst of that suffocatingly difficult time,

God was there and he gave us peace,

and he gave us hope, and he gave us strength,

and he continues to give us strength as we continue to move forward one day at a time.

And our mandate from heaven, our God-given assignment, I believe, was to take the lessons that we learned
