Eerie Encounters

Mother had lived all of her married life in a house in Kanashtita, to which she came

as a Brad.

There she raised her large family, and there, now she was dying.

For eight years she had been fighting a slow-growing cancer.

Bed ridden during her last year of 1987, we, her children, took turns taking care of her.

She was suffering horribly the night that I came to care for her.

Each night when I arrived, I was in the habit of kneeling beside her bed and asking God

to help her get well and live, but this night it was unbearable.

The first time I changed my prayer, oh God, stop her suffering.

No matter what it's going to cost us grief and loneliness, please God give her rest.

I rose and went into the other room, feeling guilty that I had even uttered those words.

Had I been right to ask God to take any method to stop her suffering?

Yet I could hear her moaning and pain from the bedroom, but I had to wait 15 more minutes

before I could give her another injection, which would ease her pain only temporarily.

sky.

If this were tornado country, I would say it was a twister, but it must be a thunderstorm.
