The Mojave Desert is a natural wonder of sorts, a locust point of four unique geological

regions, the Pacific Coastal Ranges, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Lower San Joaquin

Valley and the Mojave Desert all intersect in the little town of Lebec, California.

To a long haul trucker, a Bakersfield escapee or a Griswold Mobile intent on vacationing,

fairness of Lebec is often overwhelmed by billboards announcing that a hone outlet

mall and the approach of the legendary grapevine.

But the 1468 people who still call Lebec home have a Kinda Murdery history that looms
