Another piece of information went through with not much fanfare on this topic.

This was again a Javier Bacera.

He extended the public health emergency for COVID-19.

This was just about, it says April 13.

So almost just about a week ago now, HHS extends public health emergency for another 90 days.

So let's look at his letter really quick.

It's very short, very sweet.

The renewal of a determination, so they made a determination that the public health emergency

exists.

Why does it exist?

Actually, right in the first sentence here, as a result of the continued consequence

of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

So they're not saying hospitals are overflowing, cases are spiking, people can't get treatment.

They're saying the consequences.

So make of that what you will, but I did some research on this and it's some of the

things that are underpinning this public health emergency.

They're benefiting from this, I should say, is that people without insurance can get

free vaccines, free COVID tests?

Okay, that's one data point.

So also what's interesting is patients, they pulled the emergency, they now have to pay

for those things.
