| 0:48.2 | louisville or the state am i correct in that yeah that's true. I was born in Wisconsin and raised there. |

| 1:00.4 | I was planning on going to graduate school for a year or two, |
| 1:02.9 | and I really had no desire to come to Kentucky, |

| 1:09.4 | And Louisville turned out to be a great city for me. |
| 1:13.2 | And especially old Louisville, the old part of town, with lots of Victorian mansions. |

| 1:21.5 | And I think one of the reasons that I started writing my books was that, you know, a lot of times people don't appreciate what they have in their own |
| 1:30.2 | backyards. And in Kentucky, people are kind of understated. They don't, you know, toot their own horn very often. So sometimes it takes an outsider to kind of see, uh, the things that are special about a place where you live. |
