Today, I'm joined by Rachel Lomand, who released a book in August called Miscarried Hope,

Journey in with Jesus through pregnancy and infant loss.

Did you know that one in four pregnancies ends in loss?

In fact, today on the show, Rachel, I talk about how the number is probably even closer to one

in three. There's so much stigma and silence around this topic, and Rachel is helping those

of you that have walked through this to be able to erase that stigma, erase that shame, and be

able to talk about it. In her book, she shares her personal experience with miscarriage and her

journey to find hope again. The way I found out about Rachel was through her earrings, actually.

After losing her first child to miscarriage in 2017, she launched hope again collective,

a handmade earring line that has allowed her to connect with hundreds of fellow women and

mamas who have also experienced infant loss. Today on the show, we talk about the five stages of hope.

We each share our personal stories with miscarriage. I've walked through miscarriage as well. We

talk about the layers and layers of complicated grief and emotions that's often surround miscarriage.

And we also talked about how the church can help women around them in their congregations and

in their communities deal more with the grief and suffering that comes along with the loss of a child.
