Hey friends, we have a special little series for you today on this Friday of September.

You are not used to hearing the Happy Hour on Fridays because our shows come out on Wednesdays.

But one thing I wanted to do this fall was think of some series that we could have.

And so we have a series in September launching today, actually two episodes are going to launch

today, this episode, and then another episode that you can listen to both today or whenever you want

around world religions. And actually what sparked this idea for me was a book that came across my

office, and it's called World Religions in Seven Sentences, a small introduction to a vast topic.

It was by an author that I'd never heard. His name is Douglas Greethis, and he's a philosophy

professor, actually at Denver Seminary, where I just started school, so that's exciting.

But I just knew nothing about this, but I thought, well, this sounds interesting, and it's tagged as

a brief volume in a, it's kind of an academic book, that's for sure. But it uses a single sentence

to represent each of several world religions as a way to open readers to their depth and complexity.

He goes through atheism, and he actually starts with atheism and explains today in the interview.

Why did that? Atheism, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, dioism, Christianity, and Islam.

I asked Doug to kind of come on and talk to us. Why is it important for us as believers to know

about other religions? And he gives us a very encouraging conversation about that.

So here is my conversation with Doug about other world religions.
