0:17.7	In this episode, Dr. Jessica Petross and I have a conversation with the Galagani family
0:23.0	who are very dear friends of mine, and it's a pleasure to have them on this episode today
0:28.7	to talk about their tragic loss. They lost their father and husband last year in the hospital
0:37.2	system. This is something we've seen so many times where
0:40.1	patients are not able to make their own choices. The hospitals are being run by some higher-ups
0:48.0	and committees and other people are making decisions for these families and their loved ones.
0:53.0	And not just making these decisions, but they're
0:55.3	also not allowing families to see their loved ones in the hospitals. And during their final days,
1:01.0	a lot of people are dying alone. But this family has stood up and advocated for their loved
1:07.8	one, Dennis. And today we're going to talk about what they went through
1:12.0	their story, Dennis' story, and not just the tragic part of this, but also a very beautiful

This is, now, for those who you were just listening at home and not able to see, we have quite the group on this recording today. This is a little something special to me because I know this family personally. And so I think this is going to be a pretty emotional conversation.
