And I am a man, back in 2012, who would be known as Big E Langston.

That's what they used to call me.

Big E Langston, it starts kind of big E Langston.

It takes you on a journey.

But as many of you who are loyal listeners to this damn podcast already know,

one day when I was miding my business out here, paying my seeds,

growing my crops, living my life with my people, one day a dirty,

despicable colonizer came through, came through with the blankets,

with all kinds of diseases on them, came through and took what I built,

took what I created, what I crafted, took my identity,

took what meant so much to me, a very core of my being,

of how I am, of how I see the world, of how I live, how I exist in this world.

And they took that from me, that snatched it from me, and I can never get it back.

No one can ever take away that pain, no one can ever undo that harm,

that great harm.

And so now I am only known as Big E, but what happened to the Langston?
