We are in Wake Forest Week, the final home game for the fighting hours this year, as they take

on the four and six Demon Deacons' 500th game at Notre Dame Stadium this Saturday,

3.30 kickoff. My name is Darren Pritchett from Sports Radio 960, WSBT, and South Bend. He, of course,

is Tyler Horka, the Notre Dame Football Beat Reporter at Blue and Gold Illustrated, blue and gold.com.

31 seniors will be honored on Saturday.

Who knows how many of those will come back.

And I'm going to be really interested to see the mood of the stadium with all the big

goals gone, Tyler.

They're seven and three.

And the Irish are coming up that loss to Clemson

a week and a half ago. I just wonder what the buzz is going to be like in that stadium on Saturday.

Yeah, it's interesting because if they get the win on Saturday, they will be an eight and three football team for the second year in a row coming off of senior day.

So you're looking at it and you're like, well, why isn't there going to be much of an ambiance in the stadium?

Because it's the same situation from one year to the next.

But I think context matters.

The way that you get to that record matters.

Like you said, you're coming off a disappointing loss to Clemson as opposed to last year

around the same time.

You're coming off an emphatic victory over Clemson.

A Clemson team at that point that was undefeated.
