Gordy, it's been a pretty quiet couple hours around this place, hasn't it?

What a last month of the season. It's been something and couldn't be more excited that

Lane Kiffin is the head coach of LSU.

Hopefully, if you're listening to this now, the word has made its way to you.

There's so much to unpack here, but I think, let's start with this.

Hiring Lane is huge for so many reasons.

One, the football coach himself.

He's a proven winner, offensive guru, 55 and 19 record in Oxford.

What he did there was unprecedented, and we will talk about that more in a second.

But I think number two is the energy that he will bring to Baton Rouge and to this program.

When you talk about ticket sales, when you talk about just general interest in the program, the word that I kept coming back to

on Monday at his press conference was authentic. Yeah. And what you see is what you get with Lane Kiffin for

better or worse. But I feel like he's authentic.

And there is no fan base, no people, no culture, more authentic than the LSU faithful, than the

people of Louisiana. And for that reason, I feel like he'll fit right in. Yeah, you know, I think that

that was what jumped out at me as well, too.

It was just for me it was the human side of it.
