Dusted first by week. How was your by week? It was great, right? I mean, what a weird

scheduling deal that college football teams have two bye weeks, and you have an early by week,

but it came at literally the perfect time for this LSU football team. I mean, typically, if it was a normal year, LSU had already played Auburn.

They'd be, you know, well into continuing a string of games.

But look, they needed to get some guys healthy.

They needed some guys to get some extra rest.

And so, you know, I think everybody enjoys a biweek,

especially if it's early like this and something you typically don't get to have.

And so good timing for LSU, that's for sure.

Yeah, good timing for LSU.

We're going to talk about some of the injuries because I think that's a big reason why this is good timing for LSU.

But this is kind of a nice dividing line in this season as opposed to years past where you get that bi-week before the Alabama game, and it's sort of a two- halves of a season. This is a very nice, neat cutoff, like a third of the season. The next buy will be the next third of the season. So I wanted to take this time to kind of step back, look back, review, big picture stuff, and we'll talk offense and defense and special teams. And we have a couple questions that people put in on Twitter. So we'll get to those as well. But let's start with the offense because the last time that we talked on this show, we kind of had been repeating ourselves all offseason. We were both at the scrimmages. We were like, yeah, the offense is going to be different. Like if they can execute, they're going to be better, but it's definitely going to look different. I didn't expect this. Like, I mean, I saw Joe Burrow in the scrimmages. He looked good. He looked very good at times, but he didn't look like this. I mean, this is unbelievable. 80% of his passes for completions. I think he was talking at some point in the maybe after the first game or second

game that he unbelievable, 80% of his passes for completions. I think he was talking at some point in the,

maybe after the first game or second game that he had completed 77% of his passes throughout

the fall. I mean, he's exceeding that in games right now. He's been on a different level.

The offense is obviously retooled and that's a big part of it. But I think just the way he's

playing is, is unbelievable. I expected the second year jump out of him that you always get with quarterbacks in their second year. But I didn't expect this. Where have you seen him grow the most? Well, you're right about as far as we saw it in spring. We saw it in fall. And sometimes when you go to those practices, you get a little too excited.

And let's not forget, he actually missed the first scrimmage. And Miles Brennan actually had a good day that day. But you get so excited. And then you have to say, okay, well, wait a minute. This is just fall practice. Don't let your excitement get to you. But it's been better than that. and you never see that scenario where it actually looks better right now on the field than it did at practice.
