around the campfire, get back to basics, and spark the revival that this country so desperately

needs.

I want to read something to you tonight

that I thought would be appropriate on the Lord's Day.

And before we have communion together,

let me read this to you.

Now, this is about somebody's life,

and I want to ask you if you can guess whose life it's all about.

This is a poem that was written about somebody.

The author is unknown, but here it goes.

Ready?

This man was born in an obscure village.

He was the child of a peasant.

He grew up in another village where he

worked in a carpenter shop until he was 30. Then for three years, he was an itinerant preacher.

He moved around from town to town. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a home.

He didn't go to college.

He never lived in a big city.

He never traveled 200 miles from the place where he was born.

He did none of the things that usually accompany greatness.
