The valleys of Canaan were shrouded underneath the midnight stars.

The night was cool, but by no means quiet.

Shouts of labor pains pierced through the night like fiery arrows

as Rachel struggled in her tent.

Eleven other children had been born to Jacob by other women,

but none by his beloved Rachel.

Until now, he ran towards them and embraced them.

Oh, my son, come in and see what we have made you.

He could see the stars beginning to move. The youngest son of Jacob looked in awe as the heavens themselves were bowing before him.

Eleven stars, the sun and the moon were bowing to him.

So, not only did your brothers bow to you, but your mother and I as well,

whispers echoed through the canyons.
