As we'll do so with former NFL head coach, current ESPN analyst, Herm Edwards.

And welcome in Herm to the show here.

A bunch of questions as we get set for training camp, which will take place for most teams reporting next week.

And we'll look forward to that, of course, like I said before, hard knocks and all those type of different things. I really look forward to that. Herm, Salakata here. Pleasure to be joined by you. How you doing? I am well. Thank you. Excited, obviously, if you're a football fan. You know, season's about to kick off. It's kind of interesting. and I guess there's 10 new head coaches. That's a lot of new head coaches, but that's the way of the league, I guess, anymore. That's exactly right. They don't make them like they used to. It's so much for stability. I mean, year and you're out there changing like this. Who do you think Herm had the best offseason? Which team had the best off season in your mind?

Well, you know, when you look at off season, you got to ask the question when you think

about the all season. There's a couple things. It's always about signing the players that have

been on your roster. You don't want them to get away the good ones.

Then free agency, what have you done to build your team that way and also the draft?

So I think when you look at those three factors, I think all teams feel like they've, you know,

maybe not done it exactly like they like.

But you never know. You know, we know of the name players that switch teams and we get all excited. But at the end of the day, you really won't know until about the fourth game of the season, to be quite honest. Because that's what it's going to take. It was just crazy. We don don't play preseason games anymore. Well, you don't play preseason games.

Wasn't, so that affects you. It wasn't like that back in your day. Wasn't like that with you, right, Herman, when you were coaching, like you could tell. Yeah, well, you could tell, but also this, you know, it's so much change. I mean that when you get a guy, whether you're an offensive

defensive player, now, a quarterback, obviously, you know, that's a big deal. But when you get

position players, do they fit? Do they fit in your scheme? That's the first thing I asked the question.
