by releasing a video statement in support of Tucker Carlson.

The controversy pits Generation Against Generation and Faction Against Faction within the conservative

movement.

It's an occasion for asking, whither the right and whither America.

So a brief timeline on Monday, October 27th, an episode of the Tucker Carlson show appeared,

featuring Nick Fuentes, a prominent influencer noted for his

neo-Nazi schick and his complaints against organized jury. On that episode, Tucker took the

opportunity to say that he dislikes Christian Zionists more than anybody and to condemn

Christian Zionism as a brain virus and a heresy.

Controversy ensued, as intended, no doubt.

Three days later, Kevin Roberts, president of heritage,

released a video statement to the effect that, contrary to rumor,

Tucker is and always will be in good standing with heritage and the conservative movement.

Roberts condemned criticism of Tucker as cancel culture, promoted by a venomous coalition,

bent on sewing division.

Backlash ensued.

In the following days, Roberts' chief of staff was reassigned.
