Let me wrap up the Tucker Carlson topic because I do think that's the top story in the news today.

And school shootings will come and go. They make for news directors. That is their dream story.

I'm sad to say, but it's true. TV news directors. I don't want to say love a school shooting,

but they love the ratings they generate. And they're easy. We just go to the live feed of whoever's

on the spot and people tune in and watch. But the shooting comes and goes. And there will be

people who go, we have to do something about this. We have to have gun control. Gun control won't

matter. It's not to do with it. But that way people get the feeling that, oh, we'll never have to

go through this again. The whole thing is nonsense. But that is what a lot of the news cycle is.

A story that is really important and really gripping at that very moment that tomorrow will be forgotten.

Unless you're the participant, unless it's your child killed or your child doing the killing or

your kid who's the, who's the cop who has to go out there, your husband or your wife who has to

respond. But for a nation of over 300 million people, we just keep moving on.

This story, the Tucker Carlson story is bigger than that. And it's so different than the Don

Lemon story because Don Lemon was fired because he wasn't performing. CNN's ratings are abysmal.

And they knew it. And they do. Remember this. We tend to have kind of knee jerk reactions to people

in the news, to songs, to movies. The people whose business is that they're studying. Now they

can make bad decisions. But they're not haphazardly going, well, I kind of like Don Lemon. Let's keep

him around or I don't really care for Don Lemon. Let's let him go. They're doing focus groups and

spending a lot of money doing focus groups. When they let a Don Lemon go, they've had focus groups

tell them, well, I don't like Don Lemon. I like CNN, but I don't like Don Lemon because there are

people who like CNN. There are people. They had to have people who told them, I'd watch your

network, but not with him on it. And other people who would say, I'll never watch your network because
