Hi, hi, dear Israel Story listeners, it's Mishie.

We're almost at the end of the year, and as you heard last week, we're gearing up to

start season 7 with our new partners, the Times of Israel, in just over a month.

We have a lot coming your way in 2023.

And today, before we dive in, I want to ask you to support our show.

Why you might wonder, well, here goes.

How story fills my life with me and is shaped me into the person I am.

It's taught me how to be curious and empathetic.

It's introduced me to people I would have never otherwise met, and communities that live

radically different lives than my own.

It shows the importance of nuance and complexity and reminds me daily that stories have the power

to transform reality.

But more than anything, Israel Story gives me hope.

At a time in which intolerant extremists seem to be growing louder and louder, and cynicism

and apathy are everywhere, Israel Story represents something different, a deep love of our

shared humanity, and a commitment to living in an open-minded and pluralistic society.

In many ways, the Israel we portray on the show is what I think the real Israel can and

should be.

Over the years, and in addition to the podcasts in Hebrew and in English, we've initiated

many different projects and collaborations that all use the tools of storytelling to promote

two fundamental truths that a person as a person is a person no matter what, and that

will only learn and benefit from listening to each other.
