It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

One of the most common miracles that Jesus did was to heal the blind.

Of course, this has great symbolism spiritually as Jesus is the one who opened our eyes to truth. But it also has other meanings

and applications. In our study last time, we began looking at the healing that Jesus did in

John chapter 9. This is a man who was born blind.

In order to create sight in this man, Jesus spit on the ground, made mud, put it in the guy's eyes,

and told him to go wash in the pool of Salome. Now, this sounds rather bizarre. Why would Jesus do that?

For the answer to that, let's now join Pastor John for the continuation and conclusion

to this teaching.

He healed him by putting mud in his eyes and sending him to a pool called Siloam, verse

7 tells us, which the interpretation the gospel of john goes on to reveal means

sent jesus who was sent as the light of the world is now sending this man this blind beggar

that he might also receive his sight.

So the light is sending the man to receive his sight.
