Hello, listeners of Wiredads. This is Sarah Marshall. You probably know that by now. I am talking to you because we are taking this week off in a very uncharacteristic move. We have somehow,

by hook or by crook, without actually talking about the movie hook, managed to put out an

episode every week between August and now. And I say somehow, but I know what that reason is,

and the reason is Carolyn Kendrick, who makes us sound great and makes our dreams

possible and fills our ears with the conversation and with the beautiful music that our show is

and that we are lucky enough to have you listening to and counting on us for. And we just wanted to tell you, first of all, that we're taking this week off,

and we're going to have a Patreon episode about Room 237 with our wonderful friend Patrick

McGinty to tide you over until we release Blue Valentine next week, which we had an amazing time talking about with

Esme Wang, whose brilliance is surpassed only by her funness.

And, yeah, I wanted to tell you that you will not hear from us this week and the way

that you're used to because all of us are taking a break, but Carolyn is taking the most

deserved break of all, in my opinion.

And also, I just wanted to say thank you because we started planning the show I realize now

in what I now think of as like the early cute days of the pandemic when we were all tiny and talking about when

this is over before it had even begun. And Alex and I originally talked about doing a podcast

called Apocalypse Friends about apocalyptic movies that we can talk about friendships in.

And then that quickly became obviously too depressing.

And so we picked something not depressing at all,

the subspecies known as the American Dad.
