I love having a chance tonight to come one last time if you'll give me the grace to end the open heart series that we ended last week.

I'd love just one other shot if you weren't here last week you don't care, but if you were here last week you're thinking I thought we ended that last week.

We did, but we didn't get right to the very last part of the sentence and it was really important part.

So thank goodness we have a chance this week just to kind of come back around that again and if you haven't been around,

you know, I feel like I'm always stuck because I want to sort of catch everybody up, but I don't want to do like a whole big review for everybody that's been here,

but the series is open heart. That's what we've been talking about.

The whole idea is that God wants to do something powerful inside of us. He wants to transform us from the inside out.

This whole night is not about exterior modification coming to church or to worship or getting a Bible or changing our set of beliefs.

That's all external. What God is about is internal tonight.

So he loves that we're here. We're assembled together as God's people tonight in this place, but nothing happens by walking in the building.

Nothing happens by just showing up and kind of doing the thing. What God wants to do is peer through the exterior of us into the interior of us.

And the only way he can really do that, it's not completely catastrophic is if we let him.

If we just say, you know what, I want to open my heart up to you and I want you to work deep inside of me.

And I know for me, if I'm maybe like some of you, you know, I'm more likely to say to God, it's okay if we work on this level or this level or this level,

but I'm not really sure I'm ready to drop down to this level and I'm pretty sure I'm not ready to get down to that level.

But what we've been seeing in these weeks is that you can trust God with your heart.

You can trust Jesus with the deepest part of your heart.

Some of us in these past few weeks have gone down to very, very, very deep places in our heart and been willing just to crack open the possibility that God could work there.

And a lot of us have seen him do that, have seen him come into that little space, rush into that little space and do what we maybe even were thinking in our mind wasn't even possible.

We used the illustration of the building all through this series that, you know, to get 515, not looking like the PGA Superstore and looking like what it looks like right now and working like what it looks like right now,

it wasn't just new paint, it wasn't just new carpet, it wasn't just, you know, kind of a nice circular oval that people could gather in.

It really took the guts of the place being ripped out and put back in all over again.
