Summary

Waiting is never easy, and in the times we’re living in it can be even harder. But, right here is where we are, and God is here with us. Yes, the world is pulling us in a hundred anxiety-inducing directions, but God has not left us, and when we place our trust in His mighty hands we are still secure.

0:27.4	His poetry shaped American culture, probably most famously his poem on Paul Revere's

0:33.0	Longfellow accomplished what very few poets ever have in their life.
0:38.0	He was both famous and paid while still alive.
0:42.0	He was called Our Nation's Singer. and paid while still alive.
0:42.6	He was called Our Nations Singer.
0:45.0	And some of you may know, some of you may not,
0:47.0	that Longfellow wrote a Christmas Carol.
0:50.0	It was a poem entitled,
0:52.0	I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.
0:55.0	Maybe you've sung it.
0:56.0	I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,
0:58.0	Their old familiar Carol's play,
1:01.0	And wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth goodwill to men.
1:07.0	Maybe you sang at a church, but maybe you don't know that there were actually six stanzas to that poem and the original place it was
1:15.9	published took out the three middle stanzas and usually when we sing it we do as well.
