It is a cinematic story famous around the world.

A man and a woman meet on the streets of Depression Era New York.

He is Carl Denham, a daring explorer, known for venturing into remote parts of the world to make movies that feature exotic animals.

She is an actress named Ann Dero, who is currently unemployed and living on the streets.

He offers her the chance to star in a new film, but the details are shrouded in secrecy,

and she must be willing to board a ship and sail away, destination unknown, with no idea of when she might return.

Only Denham knows their destination, only he knows what this movie is really all about.

They sail from New York, and over the course of the journey, Ann falls in love with the ship's first mate, Jack Triscoll.

Six weeks into the voyage, Denham finally reveals that their destination is a mysterious, uncharted island, covered in dense jungle.

It rests in the shadow of a mountain shaped like a skull.

There is a village close to the shore, and a giant wall that separates that village from the jungle.

Among those aboard the ship, Denham is the only one that knows that a monster waits beyond that wall, and that its name is Kong.
