Hey, what's up everybody, Sagea Popham here, founder of the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. And I'm standing in the middle of my house right now, which is going under a seriously huge remodel and you know there was kind of some things that

0:41.3

came up in this process of working on my house that some lessons learned that I felt like we're

0:48.9

really interesting metaphors for different ways that we can approach practicing herbal medicine. So a little backstory.

We bought this old farmhouse out here in the mountains in northwest Washington. And everything

1:05.9

on the surface seemed pretty good. There was a couple things that we wanted to do to make it a little bit nicer on this house,

2:20.6

metaphor of home repair and home remodel and our approaches to herbalism and I was thinking about

2:27.6

like why would someone do that why would someone cut these roof tresses, you know, maybe there was a problem with the

2:35.7

house or maybe there was something that they wanted to do to it? And that seemed like a quick

2:40.7

and easy solution to the problem, but ended up over the years creating a much bigger problem

2:48.6

in the long term that now I have the joy of fixing, right?

2:55.5

And how that's a really amazing example of what I like to refer to as allopathic herbalism,
