J.D. Phillips did not grow up in a house like that.

Her childhood home, a modest one-story ranch, didn't outwardly appear to be haunted, yet it was.

She grew up in that seemingly ordinary house grappling with paranormal activity long before she knew what paranormal meant.

She never had the luxury of skepticism.

She never experienced what it meant to be normal. Her entire

upbringing was entrenched in the eerie reality of living in a haunted house. Her latest book

delves into previously untold stories spanning more than four decades of paranormal encounters,

from her earliest memories to the present day. These experiences have not only influenced her writing and art, but also impacted

her health and soul profoundly. In this episode of The Grave Talks, a conversation about my

Up Haunted. I love talking to other people who grew up in haunted houses.

So thank you so much for doing this.

I just find it so interesting that other people grew up like I did.

And there were other kids out there that were the kids who lived in the haunted house.

And it's a lot as a child to deal with that. It is. I don't know too

many people who grew up in one myself. I didn't know anybody. Because it was I didn't know anybody back

then. Yeah. It was a little town that I grew up in was now the town that you lived in it says Columbus in the book so

I'm not sure what state that was is it a very big town um actually the house that I grew up in
