figures. Henry the 7th has gone down in history as the miserable miserably, who rightly or wrongly,

seized the English crown from Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth. But, according to historian and author Nathan Amin, Henry's rise to power was unprecedented

and his rotten reputation blown out of proportion.

In this Life of the Week episode, he spoke to me, Emily Griffith about the life and legacy

of the first Tudor monarch, from his major political

going to be delving into the life of Henry the 7th. We're going to be covering

it right from his birth, right up to his death, and then his legacy following that. But to start us

off, can you give us a brief 60-second biography? Who was Henry the 7th? Henry the 7th was the first

Tudor King, but he's probably best remembered as being the father

of Henry the 8th, the grandfather of Elizabeth I, and the king responsible for the death

of Richard III.
